The history of Maison Charlopin-Tissier is an exciting blend of tradition and vision. After studying winemaking in Beaune and working as a winemaker in Tasmania, Sancerre, and Chablis, Yann Charlopin decided to join forces with Justine Tissier. Under the guidance of mentor Jean-Marie Fourrier, Yann embarked on an exciting winemaking journey, acquiring additional vineyards in Morey-Saint-Denis, including the former Domaine David Clarke.
The philosophy of Maison Charlopin-Tissier is deeply rooted in respect for the land and the environment. The vineyards are cultivated using organic practices, emphasizing careful and sustainable manual labor. The winemaking process includes cold maceration and fermentation with natural yeast.
