Château Pontet Canet | 2019 | 5ème Grand Cru Classé - Pauillac
This wine reflects all the excellence of Pauillac and Château Pontet-Canet wines, an exceptional blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.
Tasting Notes:
Château Pontet-Canet 2019 is a highly aromatic wine that, on the nose, will present enveloping aromas of blackcurrant and plums, complemented by floral notes and a subtle touch of spices.
On the palate, it reveals itself as a full-bodied wine, distinguished by elegance and richness of flavors. The soft and refined tannins provide a silky texture to the experience, making it a remarkable wine for its complexity and balance.

The wine is so perfumed, with ripe tannins set beside the black currant purity. The wine does have weight but the fruit is so refined and vibrant. Tannins give a core for aging, offering the structure and the density of a very fine wine. Organic and biodynamic. Roger Voss

About Winery
Château Pontet Canet
Bordeaux, France
The history of Château Pontet-Canet begins in the 18th century when Jean-François de Pontet acquired plots of land in Pauillac. The merger with the Canet vineyards gave rise to Château Pontet-Canet. In 1855, the property was consecrated among the elite of Médoc viticulture, becoming a Grand Cru Classé de Pauillac.
Over more than two hundred years, Château Pontet-Canet has had only three owners. Currently, leadership is in the hands of Alfred Tesseron, the son of Guy Tesseron, who is consolidating a lasting commitment to excellence.
The terroir of Château Pontet-Canet consists of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. The property covers 120 hectares, dedicating 80 hectares to vine cultivation.
Tradition, a quest for quality, and an exceptional terroir make Château Pontet-Canet one of the most illustrious properties in Pauillac and Médoc.
