About Winery
Château Montrose
Bordeaux, France
For two centuries, the history of Château Montrose has been shaped by three families - Théodore Dumoulin, Mathieu Dollfus, and Jean-Louis Charmolue - whose legacy played a crucial role in building the property's reputation.
Situated in one of the most privileged terroirs of the Saint-Estèphe appellation in the Bordeaux region, the estate boasts a rich terroir with 95 hectares of vineyards featuring gravel and sandy soils, where Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot are cultivated.
In 2006, the property underwent a spectacular reconstruction under the ownership of Martin and Olivier Bouygues, propelling Montrose into the 21st century. Currently led by Melissa Bouygues and Hervé Berland, the estate continues to thrive thanks to a combination of youth and experience.
