Château Clerc Milon

Located in Pauillac, Château Clerc Milon has undergone various administrations until the Rothschild family took over in 1970. Since then, under the leadership of this illustrious family, the property has undergone significant modernization. The winemaking facilities have been renovated, and they have implemented new viticulture and vinification techniques, further elevating the quality of the wines produced. In the 45 hectares of Clerc Milon vineyards, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot, and 1% Carmenère are cultivated. Château Clerc Milon maintains one of the most extensive plantations of Carmenère in Bordeaux, including vines planted in 1947, the oldest remaining vines of this variety in Bordeaux. Additionally, Cabernet Sauvignon vines were planted in 1903, a living testament to the long tradition underpinning each vintage. The exceptional terroir of Clerc Milon is a complex combination of gravel, limestone, sand, and clay soils. This diversity of elements contributes to the complexity and richness of the wines this estate produces, which is dedicated to delivering exceptional wines.
