Marchesi Antinori Srl is one of Italy’s most traditional wineries, with a history dating back to 1385, when the Antinori family entered the world of winemaking in Florence, Tuscany. Over the centuries, the company evolved and became one of Italy's largest wineries, known for its innovations and for playing a pivotal role in the revolution of "Super Tuscan" wines in the 1970s. The breakthrough came in 1974 with the release of the first vintage of Tignanello, from 1971. This groundbreaking wine, aged in oak barrels and incorporating Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, marked the beginning of a new era for Tuscan wines, challenging the region's traditions. Today, Marchesi Antinori owns over 10 vineyards and wineries across Italy and around the world, including vineyards in the renowned Napa Valley in the United States. The Antinori family remains a symbol of quality and innovation in the global wine industry.
