Trévallon Rouge IGP Alpilles, Saint-Etienne du Grès, 2021

The 2016 Clos de la Bousse d'Or shows something of the aromatic depth and dark-fruited character of an excellent Burgundy vintage handled with increasing confidence and precision. There is a sense of extra richness in the nose, an added sweetness in the dark berry fruit, and yet the palate retains the transparency and freshness that are the hallmark of Pousse d'Or's approach. Lithe, fresh, and precise, the wine moves across the palate with real elegance, the tannins supple and the fruit generous, the finish carrying notes of mineral and spice that speak to the site's singular character.
