Château Giscours, 3ème Cru Classé, Margaux, 2016

The 2016 vintage at Giscours captured something of the ideal balance between the appellation's elegance and the year's natural structural generosity. The wine shows density and complexity on the nose: deep, silky, with Cabernet Sauvignon contributing concentration and precision, and Petit Verdot adding further substance and grip. On the palate, the tannins are remarkable, fine and polished without loss of firmness, the acidity impeccably integrated, the fruit persistent and complex through a long finish. A classically built Margaux Grand Cru built to develop and reward patience over a long horizon.
